KMSU President meets with Arvandan Shipbuilding Company CEO

Khorramshahr University of Marine Science and Technology President, Dr. Bakhtiari, met with the new CEO of Arvandan Shipbuilding Company (ASC), Mr. Hassanzadeh, at ASC’s Shipyard 1.

During this meeting, Dr. Bakhtiari emphasized how effective relations between the university, industry, and society are among the main objectives of KMSU as outlined by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. He also expressed how the industrial sector can influence the shift towards skill-oriented programs. Dr. Bakhtiari also proposed the forming of the Arvandan Shipbuilding Company Research and Development Unit at KMSU to execute needs assessments as well as to benefit ASC with regards to Article 13 of the Knowledge-Based Production Development Law.

Mr. Hassanzadeh also welcomed increased scientific interactions between KMSU and ASC. He stated that the signing of an MOU between the two parties would be essential to lay the foundation to achieve the mutual goals of KMSU and ASC. He also welcomed the establishment of the ASC Research and Development Unit at Khorramshahr University of Marine Science and Technology and asserted that it would be among the priorities of discussion at Arvandan Shipbuilding Company in the near future.
